GitHub copilot cloud agent adds reasoning level controls

GitHub released a feature on 3 August 2026 allowing users to customise the reasoning level for the Copilot cloud agent. The update is available on paid plans including Pro, Pro+, Business, Enterprise, and Max. Higher reasoning levels use more tokens and credits.

GitHub adds automated code coverage generation with AI

GitHub has introduced a new option in repository Code Quality settings to generate coverage workflows automatically using artificial intelligence. The system opens a pull request for review before merging. The feature is currently available in public preview for GitHub Enterprise Cloud and Team users on github.com.
